Following several months of fan speculation, the new physical-ranged DPS job coming to Final Fantasy XIV with the release of Evercold in February has been revealed to be the Zephyr, currently utilized in-game by the new character Visna, who was introduced in Patch 7.55.

The Zephyr is a “pet job”, using a crossbow as its primary weapon in tandem with a pet bird.

As with Bastion, the new tank job also debuting with Patch 8.0, Zephyr will only be playable in the game’s new Evolved Mode control scheme, with a starting level of 90 and a starting location of Gridania.
